Since joining the finzo family in November 2021, being from the north-east I have somehow inherited the nickname of Gazza. I have over 10+ years of experience in providing business critical solutions to a range of business specialising in financial automation. I apply what some would call a unique, customer first approach which has allowed me to build incredible long-lasting relationships. I pride myself in working transparently with each and every business relationship to achieve amazing service and help them scale the business.
Outside of work, I am a fitness fanatic enjoying the gym and hikes as often as I can.
For more than 20 years I have been working as a finance solution advisor, providing advisory services to well over 300 clients on various implementations.
I have gained many Cloud and On-Premise accreditations working for a top ten London-based accountancy firm and a global solutions advisory company, where we migrated clients to more streamlined processes using the latest Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) technology.
My main goal is to put the client’s requirements first and not to try to squeeze them into software that will need upgrading in the short term and providing Business Intelligence and Management Information Reporting tools to deliver a first-rate client service.
Away from work, I like to play golf where possible and spend time with my partner and young son, finding the best nature parks and beaches in the UK.
Over the last 15 years, I have worked within sales and account management and this has allowed me to work with people from all kinds of industries, from small SMEs to large corporates. I love helping people find the best solution and giving them peace of mind that they’re in good hands.
I always aim to use the knowledge I have gained over the years to make sure I am building successful, long lasting relationships with my clients, and I aim to make sure that the work we do together is a smooth and professional process.
Outside of work my prime motivation is my family. I’m also very creative, therefore in my spare time I like to write and create my own artwork.
I am a Business Management graduate and a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in international tax, financial advisory and outsourcing.
I have worked extensively with both small and large international businesses and financial institutions across a wide variety of regulated sectors establishing and maintaining complex business and product structures.
Since starting my accounting career four years ago, I have worked in traditional accountancy practices and have gained valuable experience of everyday accounting.
In the last 18 months, I have focussed on my passion for technology and software which provides clients with a smoother way of running their businesses and also makes accounting procedures quicker and more intuitive.
I am constantly expanding my knowledge and, in turn, pass this on to my clients to help them build great business and client relationships.
Away from work, family life is hugely important to me. I also enjoy playing football at a semi-professional level.
I have a great passion for technology and love working with people. This has been built across 15 years of working both at a top London-based accountancy practice and within industry.
I strive to make a difference to each and every client. What really gets me out of bed in the morning is the feeling of being able to make a positive difference to someone’s day, on either a professional or personal level.
Ultimately, I like to answer the questions that business owners sometimes may not realise they need answering – allowing them to work seamlessly and focus on growing a successful business.
Away from work, my motivation is my family. I am currently ‘learning on the job’ with fatherhood and enjoy spending quality time with my fiancée and beautiful little girl.
